milliseconds — the figure, and the method behind it
8 of the 48 listings in this catalog state it, in 4 distinct forms.

What the number is
How long a pixel takes to change. The number is meaningless without the method beside it, and the methods are not standardized between sellers. This is the clearest example on the site of a figure that looks comparable and is not.
How sellers write it
A bare figure, such as 1ms
A number with no method attached. It cannot be lined up against a figure that carries one, because you do not know what was measured.
GtG, such as 4ms GtG
Gray-to-gray: the transition measured is between two gray levels rather than between the extremes. The letters are the useful part.
OD, such as OD 1ms
Measured with overdrive engaged. Overdrive is a setting, so the figure describes the panel in a particular mode rather than at rest.
No figure at all
Several listings here state none. Again, absent is not zero and not average.
What the figure does not promise
- That two figures from two sellers were measured the same way.
- That a bare figure and a GtG figure describe the same transition.
- That the figure holds in every picture mode.
- That a smaller number was measured more honestly than a larger one.
The 8 listings that state it
Values are reproduced exactly as each listing writes them, including the qualifiers. Lining them up in one column is not the same as making them comparable.
